On arrival at City Hall
On arrival please approach the City Hall staff, who will direct you to the Coroner's Courts entrance, where a Coroner’s Officer or a volunteer from the Coroners' Courts Support Service will greet you.

On-call Coroner’s Officer
Outside office hours there is always a Coroner’s Officer on call covering Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead. The on call officer will only deal with urgent matters which cannot wait until the next working day such as suspected homicides, child deaths, organ donation and urgent requests to remove bodies from the country (Out of England orders).
The on-call Coroner’s Officer can be contacted via the Police Control Room, please dial 101. If you are not automatically connected to Northumbria Police, then please select the appropriate option.
