On arrival at the Civic Centre
On arrival please report to reception inside the entrance signed “Bereavement Services and HM Coroner” and a Coroner’s Officer or volunteer from the Coroner’s Court Support Service will come to greet you.

On-call Coroner’s Officer
There is an on-call Coroner’s Officer to deal with urgent matters only such as organ donation, suspected homicides, child deaths, imaging requests and Out of England orders.
The on-call Coroner’s Officer can be contacted via the Police Control Room. Please dial 101. If you are not automatically connected to Northumbria Police, then choose option 2 for Northumbria Police followed by option 4 for your call to be dealt with by the appropriate person.
